Disney Land

I dreamed that i went on a trip to Disney Land. When we arrived, it was nothing like I remembered. Everything was indoors, like a giant 4-story mall.

Once inside, we were put with a group and led around by a tour guide. I got bored of the tour and decided to wander off with my friend, and we ended up at a donut shop. We picked out two and went downstairs to sit and eat them. Strangely, there was another donut shop just downstairs.

While sitting and eating, I realized that nobody had been around when we picked out our donuts and we hadn't paid. I went back upstairs to pay for them, but when I got there the person running the store was in the back room having a loud conversation on the phone about someone stealing her inventory. I tried to get her attention so I could clear everything up, but I couldn't get her to look in my direction.

Somewhat worried, I went back downstairs and saw a man with a pocket knife robbing the other donut store! I also had a (flimsy) pocket knife, and so I took it out and yelled at him to stop. He swung in the air in front of him and claimed that he had a longer reach. He was right, and I don't know anything about knife fighting, so I picked up a chair and threw it at him, and then grabbed another and hit him with it as hard as I could. He scrambled to get up, so I backed up in order to throw something else at him. Thankfully I had created some distance, because as soon as he got up he threw his knife at me! I managed to block it with the chair I was holding, and at that moment a big security guard came to detain and question him.

I picked up his knife, which was attached to a black glove, folded the two blades (and a bottle opener, what a strange robber) back in, and put it on my right hand.

The donut shop owners hailed me as a hero, and when I picked out a few to eat they gave them to me for free!

For some reason, the line at the shop became very long, and I decided to follow it to its source. When I got out to the main mall-like area, I saw that the line was almost entirely old people, and it was coming from the food court. I guess that made sense.

I decided to walk where there were less people, to explore the unknown areas. As I was walking by one lonely shop, an energetic man came out and swung at my face, stopping a few inches in front of it, and kept doing this as I walked. He started a sales pitch on some kind of self-defense gloves that had spikes embedded in them, but I just raised my gloved right hand to show that I already had something similar.

Now back on the main path, I reached an area where all the floors were padded and spinning in different directions. It was very difficult to walk from one spinning floor area to another, and I assumed that this must be a kids zone because they're closer to the ground and would have an easier time getting around. On one spinning spot was a large pink couch, and I found some of my friends sitting on it. We sat for a little while, but I decided that there had to be more interesting things to do and continued on my wanderings.

I reached the entrance to some kind of tunnel that led downward and decided to explore it. Once inside, I started slipping and tumbling down a huge bounce-house slide, around corners and somehow even uphill again to complete a lap around the giant racecourse. There was a warning over the loudspeaker telling everyone that the park would clos in 5 minutes, so we had to get going.

A group of others and I decided to stay and try to unravel some of the track's mysteries. Some part of the track had gaps where you had to land on small spring-loaded pillars to cross the void. Far below the track, there seemed to be lava. When you were coming down to hit the pillar you were given a trivia question, and if you got it right the spring would send you going much faster. Some of the guys had managed to get all the trivia correct all the way around the track, and at the end were going so fast that they were able to reach a small golden doorway hundreds of feet above the start/finish line. One, who had made it there several times, described it as "The golden parking lot of 1200. You'll have to see it to understand."

After one particularly acrobatic lap where I almost reached the golden doorway, security seemed to appear out of nowhere to get us to leave, and they were armed with throwing-spears that had nasty steel blades at the end. A few people in the group were hit with them, and instantly disappeared. I grabbed on to the underside of some stone structure underneath the start/finish line and hid there, dangling above the lava.

Eventually most of my group was gone, and they were looking for me and one other. I was spotted and the guard threw his spear at me, but I was able to move and it became lodged in the rock beside me. I pulled it out and threw it back, and the guard evaporated! After doing this another time, the only other person from my group left managed to reach me and hid with me. He told me that the golden door had a trivia question of its own, and that the answers were 1, 8, 0, and 0. We decided that if we got in there, we would be safe.

Right then, the two main overseers of the area appeared in our line of sight and started talking to me, spears in hand. My friend ran off, but I stayed and used the environment I was in to avoid getting hit with spears. After a minute, my friend came around the other side (he completed a lap) with a spear in hand and lunged it at one of the overseers. It hit, but simply bounced off. At this point I gave up hope of any alternative ideas and headed down the course as quickly as I could. I got the questions correct, and was hurtling around at dizzying speed until finally I had enough momentum to get all the way up to the golden doorway. As I was about to shoot through it, time slowed down as I answered the final four questions. 1, 8, 0, 0. Golden light overcame me and I woke up.

Virtual Insanity

I dreaming that I was in a virtual reality world. I was on a dock in a dark room that opened up to other rooms on all sides. Each of the rooms around it were exactly the same except rotated at random 90 degree turns from each other. The rooms continued infinitely in all directions.

There was a merman at the end of each dock sitting on a comfortable custom seat, and there were lots of people coming through this world to see.

After becoming bored of the merperson I asked a girl to dance. She stepped up on to one of the dock's wooden pegs because she was pretty short and we began to dance. She kept her face away when I went in for a kiss so I decided to progress more slowly. I held her close with my hands at the small of her back, and after a while she pulled me even closer and grabbed my ass with both hands. I copied her and we danced a bit harder with our hips locked.

Eventually when she had her head up I kissed her on the lips lightly and we continued dancing. We were interrupted be a fight between two people happening nearby. The person who won the fight was being obnoxious and disruptive so I stopped dancing, grabbed a trenching tool from a hardware bag on the dock and swung it horizontally at his face. It dug in deeply, and he fell off the dock in to the water and turned in to an underwater plant. I went in the water and dug the shovel in to it, slicing it in half, and it disintegrated in to a green haze. When I got back up on the dock, the people watching were concerned that I might have done enough damage to hurt him in real life, even though I had only killed him in the virtual reality game. Either from greater knowledge of the game or cold indifference, I wasn't concerned in the least.

It turned out that the person I had just mercilessly killed was in control of the server and he came back and charged after me with a crazed, illogical intensity. He threw spells at me that melted the parts of me they hit with a kind of space-warping shock wave. It was as if they rearranged the matter in a golf-ball sized piece of me, and created a large visual distortion like I had been hit with a ball of semi-transparent mercury that splashed where it hit and left a dark cloud in its wake. I decided to switch to another server that was running the same map.

The one I went to was mainly empty, but there was a list of pictures on the wall of non-player, simulated characters that could be summoned as friendly adventurers to accompany you. There were three long rows, and the bottom halves of the faces of the people on the list were obscured by a large blue cloth draped across the entire row. In one of the pictures the girl had a sparkle in only one eye and I recognized her immediately, but I decided that summoning a computer simulation of her would be just too creepy, and I decided to walk around the server to try to find a real person.

While wandering, I ran in to the guy who had attacked me earlier. He was following me across servers, and had control over this one and all the ones running this particular map. For some reason I was unable to disconnect, and he changed the map to something resembling a prison compound. I ran out the door of the main building immediately, and on to a long set of wide steps that led in a curving path to a different set of buildings. The steps were red clay, and the sides were white adobe topped with bright green plants. It seemed that the entire path was cut through dense foliage on either side.

He attacked me on the stairs with a new array of projectile spells that shot at me extremely quickly. I could only move a few inches in the time between the flash of the shot and the time it hit me.

I ran in to the nearest building and it was filled with giant boxes of office supplies. One box was full of note cards, starting with the small 300 packs, which were grouped in to bundles of three, which in turn were grouped in bulk-shippable bunches of 18, and so on until it was a unit about thirty feet square and one story tall.

The revengeful maniac sent four people after me. One was too slow and stayed behind, but the other three began to catch up with me. I convinced them to join me, and we hid on top of one of the latge boxes by lying flat. The many was far off, wandering around and coming closer, wondering where everyone had gone.

I left the three there and made my way across the tops of the densely-spaced boxes toward a wall. When I got to the wall, I saw a 2ft gap between the boxes and the wall, so I got down there and followed the wall away from the entrance and toward the back. On my way, I passed a clear box filled with old televisions with giant gray curved glass fronts, fully three feet diagonal. Once I reached the back corner, I saw a small gap I could squeeze though to get outside. I went through and, finally safe, woke up.

Messed up Murder Mystery

I had a dream that I was in a world similar to the one in Zelda: Majora's Mask, where the moon was going to crash in to the city, so end of the world was inevitable and everyone only had three days to live. I had a special ability and I could reset time to go back to the first day and live it again. My goal was to fix all the problems with the city, and then stop the moon from crashing in to the world so everyone was saved and happy.

One of the tasks I took upon myself was to solve a murder mystery. On the first day everyone was watching a play, and then the stage and actors unexpectedly rotated out of view. When the stage had rotated all the way around, we all saw that the main actress had been stabbed!

I followed various trails for the next couple days but none of them led anywhere. Eventually, on the night of the last day when everyone was freaking out and having their existential crises, I was going around the hotel to see if anyone was going to finally confess to the murder since they had nothing to lose anymore.

In one room was the cleaning lady of the hotel. She was usually very pretty and collected, but at this point she was kneeling on the floor, hands over her face, and eventually crumpled over so her elbows touched the floor, sobbing quietly in anguish. I tried to talk to her, but nothing could get through.

I decided to check some other rooms but most were empty or the people's stories checked out and I was convinced they were not the murderer. Eventually I came back to the room with the crying lady to see if I could finally talk to her, but she wouldn't respond. I decided to check out the rest of the room, and I went in to the closet.

Inside, behind the hanging clothes, I found the murder weapon and a controller for the stage's lights and rotation. When I walked back out of the closet, I didn't hear the sobbing any longer. The woman was sitting on the bed with a blank expression, eyes red, and fading pink palm prints on her cheeks where she had pressed her face earlier. She was either deep in thought or her mind had finally broken.

As I walked around the room I told her what I saw, and that I knew what she had done. She didn't care or respond though, the end of the world was already at hand for her. I walked toward the bed -- she still hadn't moved -- and started to think about how I could go back three day's time and prevent the murder before I worked on finding a way to prevent the impending destruction of the world.

I sat down on the bed next to her and immediately she grabbed my hair and pulled me to face her. She moved her hand to the back of my head, leaned in, and pulled me in to make out. The sky turned red and black outside the window, but I just stayed there kissing her. While in the act, I recognized that I was a terrible person, but enjoyed it anyway. I lost all sense of time, and eventually the moon crashed in to the city, killing us all before I could jump back in time, and I woke up.

Pixel Perfect

I dreamed that I was looking at an old video game, which used 2D sprites on an isometric 3D landscape.

For some reason, there was a limitation in the game engine that required every object in the game to stand on a single square of the grid, but there were no other limitations. This meant that there were gigantic objects balanced on tiny little feet in order to take up only one square. One of them was a big globe with a person standing on top, and the entire thing was balanced precariously on a tiny stone column.

I skimmed through the world until I reached what was obviously the end of the level. There was a large door for the exit, but in front of it were a series of three colored doors that required corresponding keys to get though. I looked around and saw many other colored doors leading to other places, some of which had keys behind them. I knew that this was going to be my favorite type of puzzle.

I enjoy games that open an entire world lobby to you initially, but require you to discover and unlock many new areas to progress. There is no obvious starting point, and if you work it out wrong in your head you can waste a lot of time running around the level and running in to locked doors. Or worse, you might use a key in the wrong door and have to start over!

I spent a lot of time looking around the level and peering through doors, plotting the path I would have to take in order to solve the puzzle. I started to wonder if I should push or pull some of the items standing around the level to see what would happen; maybe a switch would activate, or I could get in to a basement.

When I was just starting to make my way toward what I concluded to be the best place to start, I woke up. I was pretty frustrated, and it took me around four hours after waking before I felt like my mind was clear and awake.

Dreaming of being Drugged

I had a very, very weird dream last night. It was also extremely enjoyable though.

I was going to party with some friends that I hadn't partied with before at their place. The walls were bare, bright, and white, with light colored carpet like many student apartments. Everything had a healthy glow of sunlight coming from a large window.

After two glasses of some clear mixed drink, it became very obvious to me that there was something other than alcohol in the drink. I was feeling profoundly uncoordinated, and I just wanted to lay on the floor and relax. Around me, everything had become much brighter and blurrier, as if my eyes were a camera severely overexposing each shot.

I was looking at the window out at the bright sunlight, and a smiling face came in to view out of the pure whiteness with a glare all around her face from the window behind her. I was laughing and totally out of it, and I felt like I should kiss her just because. Getting off the ground turned out to be difficult so I just tugged at her so that she would come lay on the floor too.

Opening and closing my eyes didn't seem to make a difference in the least. My vision was slow, and the afterimages stayed so long that I had almost no idea what was going on in the present. I thought that when I closed my eyes, time was probably passing but I couldn't be sure. I told the girl I wanted to give her a kiss, so she kissed me twice cautiously and quickly on the lips. She paused a second and looked at me in the eyes, and then kissed me again, this time longer and with a tongue poking at my lips. Try as I might, I was really not able to focus on what was happening, and I couldn't even figure out if my mouth was open or closed, but I didn't really care because I was feeling great becoming lost in my senses in my own bright and confusing world.

A while later I rolled over and sat up. I was a little bit more balanced and clear, but I held on to the feeling from before. I decided I should give the girl a kiss, but I probably just ended up falling on her for support instead because as I was leaning closer to her, I began to lose my sense of time and place. I opened and closed my eyes but I saw nothing but a bright glow with vague tan blurs that must have been people. I felt like I was slowly tipping over in one direction, but I never ran in to anything and just kept drifting.

Eventually I sobered up and I could once again recognize the people and objects around me, and I woke up.

Abandoned Cavern

An anonymous source gave me coordinates to a secret place that was supposed to be very cool. I had to check it out right away. I followed a GPS, and I ended up in a dusty parking lot sparsely populated by run-down cars. One car with no wheels or roof was directly on the coordinates I was given, so I got in on the driver's side. At my feet was a narrow tunnel leading down. It was padded on all sides with leather seat cushions from very old cars.

At the end of the tunnel there was a drop. I fell a short distance and looked around me. I was in a giant, abandoned underground cave that looked like it had once been a mine and was perhaps halfway converted to being a concert hall. The tunnel I came from was too high to get to, and completely concealed in the jagged ceiling, so I would have to find another way out.

To my right was a long line of broken down vehicles, ranging from small cars up to heavy construction equipment. There was a roof over them, I assumed to keep them from collecting too much dust.

I went into an alcove at the end of the tunnel that was lighting up the room. There was a large opening above the floor that led to a long hallway with windows along each side that were blocked with concrete on the other side of them. The ceiling was flat and narrow because the walls tapered into arches leading to it, and it was a uniform bright white that gave a diffuse glow to the room. I assumed the ceiling was opaque white glass that led to the surface.

I walked around and found a cardboard box in the weeds growing all over the place. There were some interesting old artifacts in the box. I found a few more old books and some leather and brass trinkets around in the grass and put them in the box too.

I turned and went back to the large main room and was about to go around a big pile of dirt when I heard more people further inside. I peeked around the pile and saw that they were wearing hard hats and some were driving small carts around.

To my right I noticed a huge machine. It was a front-loading bulldozer with a patchwork steel and concrete composite armor over it (the killdozer) but the armor was cracked and fallen off in places, keeping the bulldozer from going anywhere. This was unfortunate, because I could have used it to escape without being harmed. Since there was no way to get the machine running, I would have to escape with my cardboard box covertly.

I darted as quickly as I could (while still remaining silent) behind the parked vehicles to the opposite end of the room. I didn't think anyone heard me, but I couldn't shake the feeling that I was being chased, and my heart and head were pounding. Once out of the main room, I found myself up along the outside of a large spherical structure, (I figured it was another room) with ramps leading up and down along the sides of it. I wanted to reach the bottom so that I could get to what looked like an exit.

Near the bottom, the ramps stopped and there was a drop of about 15 feet. There was a large curved pipe leading to the ground, but it tapered as it went up, and the piece near me was small enough that it snapped like chalk when I tested it with my hand. On the ground below me, I was startled to see two adventurers like myself. They said they had strayed from some kind of guided tour of the caves, and were wondering if this was a good place to get up into the older areas that the tour didn't go. I told them that I would show them a better way in if they would catch me as I jumped down. They agreed, and I dropped my box to them, then lowered myself as much as I could from the ledge and let go, falling back so that both of them could cushion my fall.

Once safely down, we walked up a steep incline back to where the tour was taking place. There were rope barriers like in a museum blocking entry to anything interesting, and the tour guide had her back to a large open area, similar to the one I saw the workers in. The room was much brighter, and everything was relatively clean, however. The entrance/exit was clearly marked, and we ended up in the parking lot. I took them far behind the surface building that marked the main entrance to the rusted cars. I showed them the special car with the tunnel and warned them about the people I saw in there, and they thanked me and went down. I left happily with my cardboard box of little treasures.

Journal is Up to Date

Finally, everything I have written in my journal is here. (except things that are just too horribly cheesy/lovey/embarrassing). I removed people's names but recurring people tend to have a theme so that it's pretty easy to tell if the same person is in multiple dreams.

I totally forgot about killing Zombie Jesus. What the hell is wrong with me? Haha. Only two really horrible killing dreams... that's a lot better than most people, I think.

I hope this blog inspires people to record their dreams and share them as well. Please comment if you read the dream, I put them up here to see what people think, and it will motivate me to record more if people are interested. Several dreams are especially long and should be interesting.

Many Things

I was on the bottom floor of a dorm building, where the whole floor was a dark series of gym-style shower alcoves and bathroom stalls. There was a girl in pink following me playfully with a big smile on her face. We went all around the building, up and down stairs, through semi-hidden routes that involved climbing down the outside of the building in some places, and finally through the first floor area. She left and I walked to a house nearby and was transformed into a tiny black snake, that stood up like a letter S.

The house had two stories, and a carpeted staircase connected them. As a snake, I could absorb objects through my skin in order to grow. I could usually just move over small objects to pick them up. I found little pieces of paper, office supplies, and candies at first. As I got bigger, I absorbed larger things like the children's toys in one of the rooms.

If there were a group of objects all together, many of them would be left behind after I moved over them. To osmose a large number of objects at once, I would stop scooting around as an S shape and lay down on them, touching the stuff with my midsection, which felt like my abdomen. When I did that, the feeling was very strange. At first it hurt, having everything poking into me at such a defenseless part of me. The toys underneath me would then feel like they were melting under me, and the feeling of absorbing them felt good, but not in any way that I can easily describe using real-life feelings.

I would gain some mass proportional to what I incorporated into myself, and it would be distributed evenly so that I stayed the same shape but became larger. When I had finally reached the size of a human, I transformed into my normal self but retained the ability to absorb things.

The two kids living in the house came home and didn't notice anything missing. I found a giant toy they had that had an opening large enough for a person to fit into and it had a small dull-colored button near the opening. The whole thing was decorated with dinosaurs. When I began to climb inside I saw a portal back in time. I was determined to climb completely inside in order to go back in time, but each of my attempts ended in failure because the two kids would mess it up, and they eventually broke the toy.

I left the house and went back to the school where I started in order to gather support for my journey. I went to a large hall that seemed to be the heart of the school, with entrances on all sides where everyone passed through between classes. It also had a large number of seats like a lecture hall. I quickly gained a small following of people wanting to help me, and we decided that it would be possible to send me back in time at the beach the very next day, using the broken toy.

I was standing on a seat in the hall, and then walking around showing people my hand which read "let's go to the beach" which was a campaign slogan of sorts. By then there were a lot of friends trying to help me reach my goal of successful time travel.

One woman saw me and started ranting about how we were horrible people ruining society and corrupting little kids, and on and on. She obviously had mistaken us for some other people, or was at least overgeneralizing my group, so I concisely and respectfully countered her. She sat down and faced away from us, extremely embarrassed.

Some party-jock and his girlfriend sat in the row behind me. One of the two butch Asian lesbians I've met in real life (that's as specific as I can be, I couldn't tell which of the two it was) walked over next to me and the guy's girlfriend got up to get something. She came back with some food, which appeared to be cooked bean sprouts with garlic put inside each one. She offered them to me and the girl, and they tasted very good. She asked us if we could guess what the secret ingredient was. She paused only a short time and gave a hint, "it's not olive butter" at the same time that I guessed "olive oil." She said I guessed right, and it sure tasted like it.

Introduction

Hello, this is where I will post my dreams from my journal. I started with my most recent, but I have quite a few older ones in my journal. I'm still typing them up, starting with the oldest and working my way to the present.

What I post here is from my direct recollection of a dream as recorded when I wake up. They aren't intended as masterpieces, but I think that as dreams they are interesting.

When I wake up with a dream, I tend to remember the end. I write what I remember in my journal, and then begin to remember more. The journal format is many small chunks of memory with "but before that, this happened..." Sometimes I remember more about something later and elaborate on it. In this web journal, I try to reorder and reorganize what I wrote so that everything as chronological as possible.

Please post comments on anything you can think of. Everything is out in the open and up for discussion, complements, questions, etc!

I'd Rather Be Sleeping

You can get the song that goes with this here.

I dreamed that I was part of a small group of ambitious scientists who had invented the replicator years ago and were famous for revolutionizing human society. Our current project was decades in the making, and was coming to its final stage; we were determined to create the first true transhuman, an evolutionary leap aided by technology to artificially create a better species of thinking being. There were four of us, in all, best friends united be a reckless goal of advancing technology regardless of the risks involved.

After the replicator, we had privately worked on several techniques to regenerate dead tissue and revive people from near-death conditions, and used it on numerous occasions on our escape from the society which had grown hostile toward our research. We lived in an isolated compound; a serene and sterile grounds for creation surrounded by nature.

We were ready for our final project to be completed. One of us would begin a new humanity. We had chosen her at random, and should would become a being of overwhelming grace and ability only faintly imaginable to us. She would walk to the end of the dock near our building, and I would initiate the process from the patio overlooking the lake.

Our great achievement would come at enormous cost. The only certainty in the process was that the remaining three of us would be annihilated entirely. I stood at the beginning of the dock, the sun becoming a hazy orange and colliding with the massive pines at far end of the lake, and held her for what I wished to be an eternity. I poured over my fear and doubts, my love and my regrets. After all we had been through, she was finally going to realize our ultimate dream of becoming a replacement for our failing human race.

I lowered my head so every part of me was close to her, and imagined her at the end of the dock, a white light transcending reality as a beacon of the future, as all humanity perished in a wave of death emanating from that very spot. I would be the first to die.

I pulled away from her and watched my tears stain the ground. By the time I finally looked up again, the sky was darkening and the color of the sunset dominated the lake and the trees. The sun behind her lit up her dark brown hair, cut short above her shoulders. She flashed a wide but sheepish smile and made her way down the dock.

The three of us remaining were all armed, in the unlikely case that an outsider had discovered our location and intended to stop us before we had finished. I walked back to the console, our only connection to the outside world. We had already announce our intentions publicly, and as I powered up the terminal a torrent of protest, intrigue, and pleading flashed across the screen too quickly for me to read.

When the terminal was up, a song, Heavy Water/I’d Rather Be Sleeping by Grouper faded in slowly, and played continuously from that moment on. The beautiful but melancholic drone fit the task at hand. I imagined that, standing at the end of the dock on the shimmering sunset lake, she was singing softly, “Love is enormous, It’s lifting me up, I’d rather be sleeping, I’d rather fall in sideways, Right where the deepest currents flow...”

My thoughts were racing. Could I really do this? We had worked for so many years perfecting the process here. I knew all the steps by heart. I had known these people for so long... seen so much. Could I kill all of humanity in the name of progress? My lover would become something unimaginably noble, the pinnacle our research and of human achievement. And I would never witness it.

I initiated the first stage via the console and watched her as she was lifted up lazily over the lake by an invisible force. There was only one step left, and that was all. My mind was breaking down, logic became illogic as the pressure mounted and time collapsed in on itself to crowd around and witness this single momentous action. I pulled the gun out of my belt and looked it over. At that moment there were now two options, neither more imaginable than the other in the crushing panic. I aimed the gun for the center of the lake.

I froze. The primal instinct of survival was overwhelming. This was suicide. I stood there for a long time, battling myself for control. For an instant I regained control and smashed the butt of my gun down on the terminal, breaking the glass, but initiating the final sequence, and I woke up.

Gory Battle with Zombie Jesus

I was in a kid's playground in a heated fight with Zombie Jesus. His shredded, bloody, matted tunic was stuck in his wounds like a disintegrating burlap sack, and every cut on his body had some pieces of tanbark stuck to it from being thrown to the ground. The blood from his crown of thorns dribbled into his cold dead eye sockets and dripped from a broken and partially decomposed nose across graying patchwork skin.

I had a stiff rope with a knife tied to the end of it. I kept my distance and darted around him on the playground, going up and down the different levels and sprinting up the slide at times. Although I was much faster, it seemed that with his unrelenting and slow movements, Zombie Jesus was always closing in on me.

I swung the rope with all the might of someone fueled by all the adrenaline and fear one would expect when confronting their undead savior in a battle to the death. At one point Zombie Jesus grabbed on to my knife as I swung it at him, and I yanked hard and chopped his hand off right across the palm. This separated the knife from the rope and sent it flying out of view. With only a rope, I started to whack him like it was a whip but it had almost no effect since it was too stiff and thick for that.

Eventually the rope shredded into two pieces and I was able to tie his feet to the playground supports, and tie his hands with the other piece of rope. I twisted the rope at his hands and pulled tight, so that his body was stretched as far as it could. I then began to twist his entire body, until he was in an unnatural and painful contortion. I got a stick and put it in the twisted rope at his hand for leverage and began to twist harder, until his arms and legs, which were spiraled together, began pressing harder against each other until the bones snapped. Once the bones were broken I moved farther away and pulled harder, twisting until his rib cage buckled and the ribs fractured and he lay motionless.

A friend from school appeared and started singing a Christmas carol and it began snowing on the corpse. A church choir began singing an epic and moving melody about the twisting, crushing death.

Odd Food

I was in a bakery cafe in a place that looked like it was near the Apple campus where I work, but the atmosphere and people reminded me of a place in Berkeley. I was given a taste test of a very odd flavor. I tried for the longest time to think of what it was. I vaguely remembered that it reminded me of a flavor with some kind of historical significance, and was being sold all over the store as something completely new as many old things are. I eventually concluded that the closest I could come to describe it was that it tasted like some kind of juice with a hint of new car smell, with perhaps some hint of worn leather.

I went around the store looking for breads and pastries. There were thousands of them, but most of them were very expensive and too fancy for me to bother trying to appreciate. After looking through everything, I picked a circular dome shaped pastry covered in spiky chocolate chips and (upon closer inspection) tiny black cherries.

I had seen someone pick out a larger pastry tray from the back of the pastry case, but there were none in the back of this case. I found a smaller tray in an alcove neat some fruit and used that to carry my odd spiky pastry.

Apartment Hunting

I was looking for an apartment with someone from work instead of my friend who I was going to room with in real life. The apartment was one we had visited before, except there was a door in the closet that led to another room that I hadn't seen before. Inside the room was a huge bed that had lights under it so that it glowed.

The lady selling the place remembered who I was and wondered why I was looking for an apartment with someone new, and set the rent to a price slightly higher than before. I lowered my offer by $270 on a computer terminal and then woke up.

Teeth. Wait... what?

I had to defeat a skeleton and his crab henchmen. My father, a tooth, had defeated him previously by passing as a dentist and giving him tooth decay, back when the villain was considered the "smiliest villain." The evil skeleton owned a chain of stores called "the Drive-thru Indian."

Music Taste

I dreamed that I was listening to music with a friend. All the albums I had were laid out in a grid on the floor. I was looking for a specific song, but he saw the album cover for Medúlla by Björk and wanted to listen to that, so we did and it was beautiful.

The Evil Fruit Hunt Cruise Campaign

There was a midget in the family who was running for governor. He was really bent on world domination, and lied in all the interviews for television. One time when someone called the house asking for him, I told them his secret plan in a half-hearted gesture to ruin him.

Eventually we all had to go on a cruise involving his campaign. Outside on the dock, a couple of girls were messing with an ATM. One of them handed me an armful of cash and asked me to go. They had a few bills that were circular, and I had no idea what they were doing.

I waited in line to get on the boat. Once I got on, a game started where we had to collect the most fruit. They were everywhere and in all shapes and sizes. I found a ton of fruit in the water immediately around the boat and in cabinets and treasure chests on the boat. I saw the girl who had given me money and gave her a hug hello and some fruit. Her friend swung from above us on a cable and hung upside down by her knees on it, dropping some of the fruit she was carrying by folding it into the bottom of her shirt. There was a large glass case with a monkey inside, and it was surrounded with fruit. I picked up a nearby spear and smashed the glass, and from inside a pressure wave of air knocked all the fruit I was carrying away, which caused me to lose the game.

What the hell does "Semi-formal" mean?

I was going to a graduation dinner, and a girl in black was my date. At first I thought she was way overdressed, but when we got there I realized that I had underestimated how formal everyone else would dress and looked bad by comparison. We ate tacos, and it wasn't very fancy at all.

Strange Dream People

There was a man and woman in my backyard. They appeared to be impossibly tall and thin, as if they would break. The man was much older, and he began to wade in the pool. I walked outside and began talking idly, trying to figure out who the girl was because she seemed very familiar. My parents walked outside and knew the people immediately.

The girl explained to me that she had been my tutor for something and I began to remember. She gave me a hug and was taller than I was. I never really fully remembered who she was, it was as if I had met her in a previous dream that I couldn't recall.

An Uncharacteristic Dream

I was playing a video game and quickly became a part of it. I was soaring through a huge city at night in torrential rain. Everything was in foreboding shadow, lit only by the people who were still awake in the dead of night, and even then the light was muffled by curtained windows.

I landed silently on the second story of an apartment high-rise and looked in the window. My goal was to kill everyone in the room, except a woman who was sitting on her bed. Maybe the woman would see the world as I did, after searching in futility for a meaning and eventually finding no answers, only an enhanced sense of cold reality. There was a man inside, dressed sharply in a suit as if he had just gotten back from a date somewhere nice, and the woman had a small living doll at her feet.

I burst in through the window and whey were so stood perfectly still, paralyzed with fear. I had no weapons, so I looked through the drawers in the dresser and found a knife as long as my forearm in a shallow drawer, sitting in foam shaped to fit it snugly. I turned and lunged, burying the knife upside down just above the man's belt and wrenching it upward to the base of his ribcage in fluid succession, causing him to lurch off his feet. I then spun around, knife tearing crookedly from his body, and beheaded the doll as the man spun off his feet into the floor, sputtering unintelligible last words.

I left the woman in shock and tears, and glided to the balcony where I had landed. I stood there, soaking in the rain, until I saw the woman run to the phone in the kitchen to call the police, and began to climb the building. They would be here any minute now. It made sense to me that going up the building would be a much less obvious way to escape.

At the top of the highest balcony, I armed the grappling gun I was carrying on my back and shot it up toward the top of the building. It slipped and fell off the top ledge, but caught on something on a landing four stories above me. I pulled myself up onto the ledge, and saw that some villains I knew were in an alcove talking and taking refuge for the night.

There were seven of them, four female and three male, with me making eight villains in the city in total. One of the villainesses had the power of ice. She had wispy white hair and other than a shattered white scar one side of her jaw line, the rest of her was translucent as a dark crystal glass, and parts of her shone with sparkling highlights against the shadows like a black polished stone with distorted lights from distant windows passing through her as she moved. Knowing that I had no powers of my own, she gave me an assault rifle as a gift.

We took a group photo and started talking about our motives. With the sirens below beginning to converge on the building, I stated, "I feel no joy in killing. I do it for the chase," and I took a running jump off the edge of the landing.

I hit the pavement solidly on my hands and feet. Surrounding me were not the police as I had expected, but a band of thugs. The ones in front of me drew their knives, and began to close in. I drew my loaded semiautomatic weapon and began to shoot the ones behind me so that I had a direction to escape. I took most of them down as I retreated from the initial ambush point, but several of them continued after me no matter how many rounds I fired at them. As they got closer I began to panic and fire less accurately, blowing off the skin from arms and shoulders where I had previously embedded bullets in their heads or body. The ones that ceaselessly came after me were missing skin on their faces, blood soaking their clothes, and several were missing at least a hand, but they came after me with their knives regardless. I threw my gun at them, since I was out of ammunition, and it collided with one of them with a sickening crunch and scream as it broke his fleshless jaw. This bought me some time to gain some distance on them. I ran into a nearby residential building to hide, and suddenly the dream shifted viewpoints.

I was now an old man who long ago was the leader of a gang like the one outside. I hid the woman who had just rushed into my home on my balcony by having her lie flat. The balcony was very old and poorly constructed. When it was built, the balcony was mainly intended for growing plants, so it wasn't really large enough for anyone to step outside on to. I had a vase with bamboo growing in it and some miscellaneous junk from the house rusting out there, but I shoved the vase to a corner and there enough room for the girl. The floor of the balcony was several inches lower than the doorway leading to it, so she could lay there with a the mat over her without being spotted. The gang searched my house, but they knew who I was, and out of respect they didn't ransack the place. Eventually they left, without finding my new guest. When the coast was clear, I went to ask her what had happened.

Short Mix of Ideas

My family was traveling to a weird place in the middle of nowhere in the desert. We went to a town with many gift stores. Outside of one, a man offered me $20 for a box of pop-rocks I had bought for $1. I had only bought one box, and I wanted to eat it. I went to go buy another box from the store nearby. When I went to pay, my wallet had a bunch of twenties and hundred dollar bills to thumb through before I got to the fives and finally ones. My mom told me not to carry around so much money.

We wend to the airport, and that same guy was there. I kept one hand on my wallet. I saw my friend there, and she had just bested everyone at a game of golf. We went into an elevator and I contemplated putting it into express mode by holding the floor number and close door button after pushing the floor button the first time. I decided against it, since I didn't want to be a jerk and keep other people from getting on along the way.
