I had a dream that I was in a world similar to the one in Zelda: Majora's Mask, where the moon was going to crash in to the city, so end of the world was inevitable and everyone only had three days to live. I had a special ability and I could reset time to go back to the first day and live it again. My goal was to fix all the problems with the city, and then stop the moon from crashing in to the world so everyone was saved and happy.
One of the tasks I took upon myself was to solve a murder mystery. On the first day everyone was watching a play, and then the stage and actors unexpectedly rotated out of view. When the stage had rotated all the way around, we all saw that the main actress had been stabbed!
I followed various trails for the next couple days but none of them led anywhere. Eventually, on the night of the last day when everyone was freaking out and having their existential crises, I was going around the hotel to see if anyone was going to finally confess to the murder since they had nothing to lose anymore.
In one room was the cleaning lady of the hotel. She was usually very pretty and collected, but at this point she was kneeling on the floor, hands over her face, and eventually crumpled over so her elbows touched the floor, sobbing quietly in anguish. I tried to talk to her, but nothing could get through.
I decided to check some other rooms but most were empty or the people's stories checked out and I was convinced they were not the murderer. Eventually I came back to the room with the crying lady to see if I could finally talk to her, but she wouldn't respond. I decided to check out the rest of the room, and I went in to the closet.
Inside, behind the hanging clothes, I found the murder weapon and a controller for the stage's lights and rotation. When I walked back out of the closet, I didn't hear the sobbing any longer. The woman was sitting on the bed with a blank expression, eyes red, and fading pink palm prints on her cheeks where she had pressed her face earlier. She was either deep in thought or her mind had finally broken.
As I walked around the room I told her what I saw, and that I knew what she had done. She didn't care or respond though, the end of the world was already at hand for her. I walked toward the bed -- she still hadn't moved -- and started to think about how I could go back three day's time and prevent the murder before I worked on finding a way to prevent the impending destruction of the world.
I sat down on the bed next to her and immediately she grabbed my hair and pulled me to face her. She moved her hand to the back of my head, leaned in, and pulled me in to make out. The sky turned red and black outside the window, but I just stayed there kissing her. While in the act, I recognized that I was a terrible person, but enjoyed it anyway. I lost all sense of time, and eventually the moon crashed in to the city, killing us all before I could jump back in time, and I woke up.

Dreaming of being Drugged
I had a very, very weird dream last night. It was also extremely enjoyable though.
I was going to party with some friends that I hadn't partied with before at their place. The walls were bare, bright, and white, with light colored carpet like many student apartments. Everything had a healthy glow of sunlight coming from a large window.
After two glasses of some clear mixed drink, it became very obvious to me that there was something other than alcohol in the drink. I was feeling profoundly uncoordinated, and I just wanted to lay on the floor and relax. Around me, everything had become much brighter and blurrier, as if my eyes were a camera severely overexposing each shot.
I was looking at the window out at the bright sunlight, and a smiling face came in to view out of the pure whiteness with a glare all around her face from the window behind her. I was laughing and totally out of it, and I felt like I should kiss her just because. Getting off the ground turned out to be difficult so I just tugged at her so that she would come lay on the floor too.
Opening and closing my eyes didn't seem to make a difference in the least. My vision was slow, and the afterimages stayed so long that I had almost no idea what was going on in the present. I thought that when I closed my eyes, time was probably passing but I couldn't be sure. I told the girl I wanted to give her a kiss, so she kissed me twice cautiously and quickly on the lips. She paused a second and looked at me in the eyes, and then kissed me again, this time longer and with a tongue poking at my lips. Try as I might, I was really not able to focus on what was happening, and I couldn't even figure out if my mouth was open or closed, but I didn't really care because I was feeling great becoming lost in my senses in my own bright and confusing world.
A while later I rolled over and sat up. I was a little bit more balanced and clear, but I held on to the feeling from before. I decided I should give the girl a kiss, but I probably just ended up falling on her for support instead because as I was leaning closer to her, I began to lose my sense of time and place. I opened and closed my eyes but I saw nothing but a bright glow with vague tan blurs that must have been people. I felt like I was slowly tipping over in one direction, but I never ran in to anything and just kept drifting.
Eventually I sobered up and I could once again recognize the people and objects around me, and I woke up.

I'd Rather Be Sleeping
You can get the song that goes with this here.
I dreamed that I was part of a small group of ambitious scientists who had invented the replicator years ago and were famous for revolutionizing human society. Our current project was decades in the making, and was coming to its final stage; we were determined to create the first true transhuman, an evolutionary leap aided by technology to artificially create a better species of thinking being. There were four of us, in all, best friends united be a reckless goal of advancing technology regardless of the risks involved.
After the replicator, we had privately worked on several techniques to regenerate dead tissue and revive people from near-death conditions, and used it on numerous occasions on our escape from the society which had grown hostile toward our research. We lived in an isolated compound; a serene and sterile grounds for creation surrounded by nature.
We were ready for our final project to be completed. One of us would begin a new humanity. We had chosen her at random, and should would become a being of overwhelming grace and ability only faintly imaginable to us. She would walk to the end of the dock near our building, and I would initiate the process from the patio overlooking the lake.
Our great achievement would come at enormous cost. The only certainty in the process was that the remaining three of us would be annihilated entirely. I stood at the beginning of the dock, the sun becoming a hazy orange and colliding with the massive pines at far end of the lake, and held her for what I wished to be an eternity. I poured over my fear and doubts, my love and my regrets. After all we had been through, she was finally going to realize our ultimate dream of becoming a replacement for our failing human race.
I lowered my head so every part of me was close to her, and imagined her at the end of the dock, a white light transcending reality as a beacon of the future, as all humanity perished in a wave of death emanating from that very spot. I would be the first to die.
I pulled away from her and watched my tears stain the ground. By the time I finally looked up again, the sky was darkening and the color of the sunset dominated the lake and the trees. The sun behind her lit up her dark brown hair, cut short above her shoulders. She flashed a wide but sheepish smile and made her way down the dock.
The three of us remaining were all armed, in the unlikely case that an outsider had discovered our location and intended to stop us before we had finished. I walked back to the console, our only connection to the outside world. We had already announce our intentions publicly, and as I powered up the terminal a torrent of protest, intrigue, and pleading flashed across the screen too quickly for me to read.
When the terminal was up, a song, Heavy Water/I’d Rather Be Sleeping by Grouper faded in slowly, and played continuously from that moment on. The beautiful but melancholic drone fit the task at hand. I imagined that, standing at the end of the dock on the shimmering sunset lake, she was singing softly, “Love is enormous, It’s lifting me up, I’d rather be sleeping, I’d rather fall in sideways, Right where the deepest currents flow...”
My thoughts were racing. Could I really do this? We had worked for so many years perfecting the process here. I knew all the steps by heart. I had known these people for so long... seen so much. Could I kill all of humanity in the name of progress? My lover would become something unimaginably noble, the pinnacle our research and of human achievement. And I would never witness it.
I initiated the first stage via the console and watched her as she was lifted up lazily over the lake by an invisible force. There was only one step left, and that was all. My mind was breaking down, logic became illogic as the pressure mounted and time collapsed in on itself to crowd around and witness this single momentous action. I pulled the gun out of my belt and looked it over. At that moment there were now two options, neither more imaginable than the other in the crushing panic. I aimed the gun for the center of the lake.
I froze. The primal instinct of survival was overwhelming. This was suicide. I stood there for a long time, battling myself for control. For an instant I regained control and smashed the butt of my gun down on the terminal, breaking the glass, but initiating the final sequence, and I woke up.

Lucid Party
I was dreaming that I was at an outdoor party at night. As this situation is extremely unlikely, I immediately realized I was dreaming and became lucid. I decided that it would be wonderful if there was someone I could share the experience with.
Nobody at the party seemed very interesting, so I decided that I would try to wish someone into existence. I subscribe to the idea that talking to and interacting with someone new in your dream is as close to communicating with your subconscious as you can get. I looked around the corner, expecting to see someone new, and my attention was immediately absorbed by a pretty girl walking in my direction. I invited her to sit down with me on a thick concrete barrier. We began to talk and she held on to my arm.
I was only vaguely still aware that I was dreaming at that point, but I decided that I may as well play along with the dream for fun, and so I went to get her a drink from the cooler by the barbecue. I poured something tropical orange into a glass and put some ice in it for her.
When I got back to her she was sitting there alone, looking into the afterglow of a light-polluted horizon. I gave her the drink and when I sat down put my arm around her. She turned toward me and pulled me in to a hug. She buried her face below my shoulder and squeezed hard like she really needed it.

Programming and Dancing
I had a dream that I was working on a challenging computer programming problem at the end of an enormous golden ballroom. I looked over my shoulder and walking toward me were two of my friends in beautiful gowns. One of them (who I only knew through the internet) was wearing a dark red that glistened and swirled with a satin shimmer. My other friend was wearing a deep black that seemed to annihilate the light for several inches around it. The sleeves and neckline were lace.
After crossing the empty ballroom to get to where I was, they tried to get me to stop working on the computer problem. They really didn't understand how important it was, and how close I was to having a breakthrough. I really needed to concentrate and began to feel a little sad.
The girl in black wanted me to dance, and although I didn't want to dance, I did want to spend time with her. I told her that I would catch up with them after I finished, which could happen any moment.
They walked away, and before they had crossed the midpoint of the ballroom my debugging had finally come up without any major errors and to my surprise the sample data had gone through properly and the file it exported matched the expected output perfectly.
I walked away from the computer, my footsteps echoing a contrast to the tiny pecking sound of retreating high-heels. The girl in red whirled around and shuffled as quickly as she could in her dress toward me. While the girl in black walked at a regular pace toward us, the girl in red made a running jump into a hug and latched on.
The girl in black stopped a short distance away and crossed her arms with an expectant look crossing her face. That moment, the vision of her, a beautiful darkness against the sunset amber shades of the ballroom, hung in time. I started to feel embarrassed with the girl in red in my arms, and I woke up.
